Clark E. Mead, a resident of Taylor, died Thursday morning at home. His widow is the former Linda Palmiter.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was a son of the late Sherman and Alice Kaufman Mead. He attended school in Gouldsboro, where the family resided for many years. He was of the Methodist faith, and before his illness, was employed by R&L Trucking in Pittston.
He was a great outdoorsman, loving hunting and fishing.
Also surviving are a son, Clark Mead Jr., Gouldsboro; stepson, William West Jr. and wife, Amanda, Phoenix; stepdaughters, Danielle Gaus, West Wyoming; and Kristy Karluk and husband, Frank, Jonestown; grandchildren, Clark Mead III, Shane Lucas, Paige Ross and Frank Karluk Jr.; a brother, Sherman Mead and wife, Janet, Exeter; nieces and nephews.
The funeral and interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
