Colin M. Beam

Colin M. Beam, 16, of Waymart, died unexpectedly at home on Monday.

Born in Honesdale on November 25, 1996, he was the son of Michael J. and Dorothy (Dot) Orlowski Beam. He had just completed his sophomore year at Western Wayne High School, where he was involved with the Wildcat wrestling program for ten years.

Colin was a very loving and protective big brother, and would stand up for anyone that needed help. He loved hunting and the outdoors and had an appreciation for nature. He liked collecting minerals and rocks and planned on pursuing a career in mineralogy.

He enjoyed hanging out with his friends, playing video games, and watching Anime film and the History and Discovery channels. He also liked spending time building Lego creations with his little brother, and was a talented artist.

Colin will be greatly missed and will always be in the hearts of his family and friends who loved him so much.

He is also survived by his brother, Eric, at home; his paternal grandmother, Patricia Beam, Aldenville; his maternal great-grandmother, Helen O'Donnell, Taylor; aunts and uncles, including Tammy Doherty, Waymart; and Joe Jezorlowski and wife, Hope, Sterling; and cousins, especially Bryce Doherty and Trinity Veaudry.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, James Beam; his maternal great-grandfather, John O'Donnell; and an aunt, Kathleena Monta.

Friends may call on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Jenkins Funeral Home, 269 Belmont St., Waymart.

Funeral services are private at the discretion of the family.
