David M. Carachilo

David M. Carachilo, 44, of Carbondale, died Sunday morning at his residence. His wife is the former Lisa Liuzzo.

Born in Carbondale, he was the son of George and Joyce Davis Carachilo. He was a 1986 Carbondale Area graduate. David was the owner of Dave's Smoke Shops, Clifford and Forest City. For 15 years, he was a heavy-equipment operator for DeNaples Keystone Landfill. He was a SAL member of American Legion Post 274, Gouldsboro.

David was the world's biggest New York Giants fan and loved his dog, Isabella, his little girl. He was devoted to his wife and family. He loved his wife.

Also surviving are a brother, Anthony Carachilo, Simpson; two sisters, Lisa White and husband, Neil, Simpson; and Jennifer Carachilo, Simpson; and a boatload of nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Mary Liuzzo; and grandparents, Paul Sr. and Margaret Pollitts Carachilo.

The funeral will be Wednesday from the Lawrence A. Gabriel Funeral Home, 74 N. Main St., Carbondale, with Mass at 9:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Carbondale. Interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Finch Hill.

Friends may call Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m.
