Dolores I. Roman, 87, of South Canaan, died Friday at Wayne Woodlands Manor after an extended illness. Her husband, William Roman Sr., died last year.
Born Jan. 13, 1927, in Dickson City, daughter of the late John and Louise Phillips Turouski, Dolores was a seamstress for Waymart Knitwear for more than 40 years. Upon retirement, she enjoyed sewing children's suits and clothing, which she enjoyed selling and giving as gifts to others.
A gifted artist, Dolores painted many beautiful pieces of artwork over the years. She will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her son, John A. Roman, South Canaan.
She was also preceded in death by a son, William C. Roman Jr.
Memorial services will be private at the convenience of the family. Interment will be at St. Catherine's Cemetery, Moscow. Arrangements are by the Arthur A. Bryant Funeral Home, 1228 N. Main St., Honesdale.
