Donald W. Howey

Donald W. Howey of Scranton died Tuesday at Regional Hospital of Scranton after an illness. His companion of more than 20 years is Maggie Cosgrove.

Born in Peckville, son of the late Wallace "Fat" and Gloria Howey, he was employed by Holy Family Residence for many years.

He enjoyed bowling and the outdoors, and was a happy man who loved life.

Also surviving are two daughters, Tracy and Stacy, both of Scranton; sisters and brothers, Debbie Carone, Roaring Brook Twp.; Barbara Smith, Port Crane, N.Y.; Donna Belcher, Scranton; Paula Crawn, Tunkhannock; Roy Howey, Wilkes-Barre; Tracy Nicholson, Scranton; Tammy Howey, Scranton; Joe Howey, Taylor; Richie Howey, Scranton; Paul Howey, Scranton; Rick Howey, Meshoppen; several nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy.

Private funeral services will be conducted at the convenience of the family from the Solfanelli-Fiorillo Funeral Home Inc., 1030 N. Main Ave.
