Douglas E. Hart, 44, a resident of St. Joseph's Center since 1972, died Wednesday morning at St. Joseph's Center.
Born March 8, 1969, in Mechanicsburg, son of Jody Geiger, Mechanicsburg, he was a member of the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish, Dunmore.
Douglas enjoyed music, especially Christmas songs, children's songs, country and gospel music. He also enjoyed television programs, in particular the "Price is Right" and sporting events. He was an active member of his Parish, and he very much enjoyed attending weekly services. He was an energetic young man who loved participating in outings and activities with his staff persons and peers. His smile and enthusiasm touched the lives of so many of his staff persons over the years, and they feel blessed to have had the opportunity to be part of his life.
In addition to his mother, Douglas is survived by his sister, Amanda Wirrick; and his brother, Dwayne Smith.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Betty J. Hart; maternal grandfather, Donald Hart, and his sister, Twyla Hendry.
A memorial service will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at St. Joseph's Center chapel.

Sorry about your loss..Dougie was a very special man..you now have a very special angel watching over all of you..Christopher and us had alot of special memories of him..
