Edward M. Novatski, 75, of Hamilton, N.J., died Thursday at his home.
Born in Duryea, son of the late Edward M. and Della (Madrak) Novatski, Edward received an associate's degree in engineering technology from Pennco Tech, and was an honorably discharged veteran, having served as a medic in the Army.
He was an electronic technician with Roper Scientific, formerly Princeton Instruments, for 13 years, retiring in 2004. He previously worked as a machinist with Teledyne Turner Tube Corp. of Cranbury, N.J., for more than 25 years. He resided in Hamilton for 51 years. He currently attended St. Gregory the Great R.C. Church.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Carol (Ferrese) Novatski; two daughters, Michele Droll and Cynthia Hoch; two sons-in-law, Matt Droll and Dan Hoch; his precious granddaughter, Avery Droll; brother, Allen Novatski; sisters-in-law, Vicki Novatski and Sandra Baud; brother-in-law, Edward Baud; niece and nephews, Janna Novatski, Chris Baud and Jesse Novatski; and many cousins.
A memorial Mass will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. at Holy Rosary Church, Duryea, with the Rev. Andrew Sinnott officiating. Interment will be at the Dunmore Cemetery, Dunmore. Arrangements are by the Bernard J. Piontek Funeral Home Inc., 204 Main St., Duryea.
