Efrain Cordero of Scranton died Friday in Regional Hospital of Scranton. His wife is the former Elena Guadulupe Cordero.
Born in Puerto Rico, son of the late Telesfo Cordero and Jua Na Vega, he was educated in Puerto Rico schools. Before retirement, he served in the maintainence department in several apartment buildings in New York City.
Efrain enjoyed television, trips to Atlantic City and, most of all, spending time with his family.
Also surviving are two daughters, Maria Cordero, Scranton; and Lourdes Cordero, Miami, Fla.; a son, Efrain Cordero, Miami; a brother, Arthur Cordero, New York City; a sister, Isabell Cordero, Puerto Rico; nieces, nephews and cousins.
The funeral will be Wednesday at 8 p.m. in the Davies & Jones Funeral Chapel, 135 S. Main Ave., Scranton, with services by the Rev. Joseph Jones, C.P., assistant pastor of St. Ann's Basilica Parish. Interment, private at the convenience of the family.
