Eleanor Ann Siniawa

Eleanor Ann Siniawa of Olyphant died Tuesday morning at the Linwood Skilled Nursing Center in Scranton after a lengthy illness. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Joseph, and a son, Joseph Jr.

Born in Olyphant, daughter of the late Andrew and Olga Vasilenko Grancey, she was a graduate of Olyphant High School, and a lifelong member of All Saints Orthodox Church in Olyphant. Eleanor was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister who enjoyed taking care of and spending time with her family and grandchildren, and was active in the Scranton Prep Mothers Club.

Her family would like to thank all of the caretakers and administration at the Linwood Skilled Nursing Facility and previously at Senior Health Care Solutions for the loving care and support that she received during this difficult time.

She is survived by three daughters, Joanne Zenker and her husband, Kenneth, of Hawaii; Karen Siniawa of Philadelphia; and Kristen Siebecker and her husband, Bryan, of Dickson City; five grandchildren, Evan Zenker and Erin Zenker, both of Hawaii; Kellie Siebecker of Florida; Kalyn Siebecker of Philadelphia; and Bryanna Siebecker of Dickson City; a brother, Thomas Grancey of Mayfield; and a sister, Dorothy Skorupka of Olyphant; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be Friday at 10 a.m. in All Saints Orthodox Church, Willow St. in Olyphant, by Rev. Paul Schellbach, pastor. Interment, Parish Cemetery, Peckville.
