Eleanor M. Kashuda

Eleanor M. Kashuda, 90, died Monday at Wesley Village, Pittston. Her husband, Francis, died in 2003.

Formerly of West Pittston, she was the daughter of the late John Kirvalavich, Veronica Kirvalavich Zamoch and Alex Zarnoch. She previously worked at Topps Chewing Gum and Wilkes-Barre General Hospital as an LPN before retirement.

The family would like to thank Dr. Charles Manganiello for his many years taking care of Eleanor, treating her as if she were his own family, and the many nurses and staff of Wesley Village for their compassion and kindness during her stay.

She is survived by her children, Francis Jr., Tarpon Springs, Fla.; Nancy Ciampi and husband, John, West Pittston; Gerard and wife, Janet, Plains; Maryanne Paieski and husband, Larry, West Pittston; and Mark and wife, Theresa, Missouri City, Texas; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; sister, Lucille Peteah and husband, George, and goddaughter, Joyce Peteah, all of New Castle, Del.; numerous sisters-in-law; brothers-in-law; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Monday at 9:30 a.m. from the Anthony Recupero Funeral Home, 406 Susquehanna Ave., West Pittston, with Mass of Christian Burial at 10 in Immaculate Conception Church, Corpus Christi Parish, Luzerne Avenue, West Pittston. Interment, Holy Rosary Cemetery, Duryea,
