Elizabeth J. Fezuk, 69, of Scranton, died Friday evening at the Commonwealth Hospice Unit at Regional Hospital of Scranton. She was the wife of the late Frank Fezuk, who died in 2010.
Born in Scranton, daughter of the late George and Anna Leonard Pifcho, she was a graduate of Dunmore High School and the American Beauty School. Before retirement, she worked as a nurse's aide. She was a member of Holy Rosary Church.
Elizabeth loved bingo, crocheting, gardening and trips to the casino.
Surviving are two sons, Frank and wife, Heather, Scranton; and Dave and wife, Alice, Scranton; three daughters, Melissa Checko and husband, Carl, Chinchilla; Mary Lynn Fezuk and companion, Pete Farrell, Scranton; and Beverly Free, Scranton; five sisters, Helen Danko, Mary Kay Schult, Ann Marie Yurchak, Barbra McAllister and Rose Ann Liberty; three brothers, Ken Prebish, George Pifcho and Bobby Pifcho; 10 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Robert; and a brother, Jack Prebish.
Funeral service and internment will be private.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Edward J. Chomko Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 262 Railroad Ave., West Scranton.
