Elizabeth L. Taddonio, 95, a resident of the Dutch Hollow section of South Scranton, died Tuesday at Linwood Nursing Home. She was the widow of Dominick Taddonio, who died in 1979.
Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Joseph and Isabel Swift Lockner, she was a member of St. John Neuman Parish and a lifelong member of St. Mary of the Assumption Parish, until it closed.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be deeply missed.
Surviving are a daughter, Joan Ewaskiw and husband, Robert, with whom she resided; a son, Thomas Taddonio and wife, Marilyn, Scranton; a brother, Walter Lockner, Scranton; three grandchildren, Lynn Gorden and husband, Robert; and Laurie and Kenneth Taddonio; two great-grandchildren, Emily Gorden and Chase Taddonio; nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Christine Reichle and Mary Corcoran.
The funeral will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
