Elsie M. Kavulich McGraw of Taylor died Wednesday evening at Mountian View Care Center. She is survived by her loving, faithful and devoted husband of 64 years, James M. McGraw.
Born in Taylor on Feb. 25, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Kavulich and Margaret Duchak Kavulich Mehalenko and attended Taylor High School.
Her family was the center of her life and they brought her much joy and happiness. She was a parishioner of Divine Mercy Parish and a former member of Immaculate Conception Church, Taylor.
The family would like to express its deepest gratitude to the staff of Mountain View Care Center, especially the nurses and staff of Alcore/A Wing for their compassion, understanding and care they gave Elsie and her family.
Also surviving are seven children, Mary Summa, Old Forge; James M. (Mary) McGraw, Taylor; Patrick (Debi) McGraw, Old Forge; Margaret McGraw, Kingston; Kathleen, Old Forge; Ann (Lonny) Mickavicz, Taylor; and Martin (Trish) McGraw, Old Forge; six grandchildren, Mark, James, Jennifer and Danielle Summa; Lindsey Fanning and Laura Mowery; four great-grandsons, P.J. and Brandon Fahey; Hunter Smith and Ethan Fanning; nieces and nephews.
Two grandchildren, Jessica and Jessie McGraw; and two brothers, Joseph Kavulich and Michael Mehalenko, also preceded her in death.
The funeral will be Monday at 9:30 a.m. from the Semian Funeral Home, 704 Union St., Taylor, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 in Divine Mercy Parish, 312 Davis St., Scranton, by the Rev. Francis Pauselli, pastor. Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery, Old Forge.
