Emily A. Rechlicz, 22, of Scranton, Pa., died tragically on Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013, at her apartment in Scranton, Pa.
She was born in Philadelphia, Pa., to Dr. David J. and Stacie (Millett) Rechlicz, Montrose, Pa. She is also survived by her brother, Jack Rechlicz, Scranton, Pa.; maternal grandparents, Daniel and Judith Millett, Clarks Summit, Pa.; paternal grandmother, Eleanor Rechlicz, Clarks Summit, Pa.; many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Her paternal grandfather, Eugene Rechlicz, predeceased her.
Emily was a 2008 Montrose Area High School graduate. She was enrolled in the graduate level Physician's Assistant Program at Marywood University. Emily enjoyed snowboarding, tennis, horseback riding and she loved the beach. Emily was a beautiful, loving and caring daughter, granddaughter and friend. She brought love, happiness and kindness to all of the lives she touched. Emily's passion and excitement for the Physician's Assistant Program at Marywood and all the people she worked with was a driving force in her life. We will miss her lovely smile. The life she shared with us was taken too soon.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Name of Mary Church, Montrose, Pa., with Monsignor James McGarry and the Rev. Gerard F. Safko co-officiating.
Calling hours will be Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Daniel K. Regan Funeral Home, Montrose, Pa.
