Ethel Ann Costanzo

Ethel Ann Costanzo, 48, of Hawley, died Wednesday at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. Her husband is Louis Costanzo. The couple would have celebrated 28 years of marriage on March 30.

Born in Scranton, daughter of Patsy Marsico, Scranton, and Roberta Gingher Propes, she was a member of St. Thomas More Parish, Lake Ariel, educated in Scranton public schools, and attended West Scranton High School and Lackawanna Junior College. She was formerly employed by the United States Post Office, and was the post master for the Rowland Post Office.

Ethel enjoyed horseback riding, eagle watching and reading.

She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and daughter who will be deeply missed.

Also surviving are a son, Louis J. Costanzo Jr., Scranton, and fiancée, Jennifer Penin; a daughter, Stephanie "Molly" Costanzo, Old Forge; three brothers, Patrick Marsico, Philadelphia; Paul Marsico, Oklahoma; and William Propes, Scranton; a sister, Helen Rose Wombacker, Mount Cobb; nieces, nephews and cousins.

The funeral will be Monday at 9:30 a.m. from the Thomas J. Hughes Funeral Home Inc., 1240 St. Ann's St., Scranton, with Mass of Christian Burial at 10 in St. Ann's Basilica, Scranton, to be celebrated by the Rev. Joseph Jones. Interment, Old Forge Cemetery.
