Florence Fumanti

Florence "Mena" Fumanti, 87, a lifelong Jessup resident, died Tuesday at Regional Hospital of Scranton. She was the widow of Valentino "Bill" Fumanti, who died July 16, 2005.

Born in Jessup, daughter of the late Emilio and Jennie Sartori Cruciani, she attended Jessup High School. She was a member of St. Mary's Assumption Church, Queen of Angels Parish in Jessup, and was a member of the ILGWU, and before her retirement, she was employed for 27 years at the Barbizon in Jessup.

Mena was a very devoted and giving wife, sister, mother, noni and great-grandmother. Her family was the center of her life and she enjoyed every minute spent with them.

Her family would like to acknowledge the care and compassion given to Mena by her physician, Dr. Tracey Boros Galardi.

Surviving are a daughter, Rose Dick and husband, Christopher, Jessup; three grandchildren, Jack Dabney and wife, Tricia, Jermyn; Jennifer Snyder and husband, Jamie, South Abington Twp.; and Christen Mishura and husband, Corey, Mountaintop; four great-grandchildren, Michael, Elliana, Adalyn and Matthew; a sister-in-law, Toni Fumanti, Jessup; nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Marie Lodovici and Beatrice Biagioli.

The funeral will be Saturday at 8:30 a.m. from the Arthur A. Albini Funeral Home, 1003 Church St., Jessup, with Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 in Queen of Angels Parish at St. Michael's Church, First Avenue, Jessup. Interment in St. John's Cemetery, Jessup.
