Frank Lunger

Frank Lunger, formerly of Scranton, died Tuesday at the Golden Living Center Summit, Wilkes-Barre, after an illness. His wife, the former Mary Lou McGerrity, preceded him in death in 2006.

Born in Scranton, son of the late Edward and Gertrude Crawford Lunger, he lived most of his life in the city. He and his brother owned and operated the Sunoco service station on South Main Avenue before retirement. Frank served in the Army. He was of the Methodist faith.

He is survived by his son Gerald, Wilkes-Barre; nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Edward, James and David.

Graveside services will be Monday at 1 p.m. in Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst. Services are entrusted to the care of the Bomberger-Lesko Funeral Home Inc., 1660 N. Main Ave., Scranton.
