Gaspare Temperino

Gaspare "Tim" Temperino, 73, died Thursday at Haven Hospice, New York City. His wife of 51 years is the former Michaline Smigelski.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, N.Y., son of the late Michael and Millie Catalano Temperino, he was a resident of Avoca for many years and was the owner and operator of Valley Meat and Deli, Avoca, until his retirement.

Also surviving are a daughter, Linda, New York City; four grandchildren, Nicholas Kozel, Gabriella, Domonic and Julia Temperino; three godchildren, Camille Rice, Peter Smigelski and Jeffrey Romanecz; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was also preceded in death by two children, Michele Kozel and Paul Temperino.

Arrangements are by the Ruane & Regan Funeral Home, 1308 Grove St., Avoca. Interment will private at the convenience of the family. Online condolences may be made at www.ruaneandre gan.com.
