Genevieve Lishok, South Scranton, died Thursday at St. Mary's Villa Nursing Home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Lishok.
Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Felix and Mary Kaminski, she attended Scranton schools and before her retirement, worked as a seamstress and was a proud owner of Lishok Ice & Coal Co. She was a member of St. John Neumann Parish, Scranton.
Genevieve was an avid gardener and especially enjoyed taking her morning walk to church.
She is survived by her granddaughter, Melissa Anne Laurie, Odenton, Md.; nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Joan Mary Laurie; sisters, Helen Bordi, Mary Kuchinski and Mary Konopka; and brothers, Joseph, Edward, Johnny, Stanley and Frankie Kaminski.
The funeral will be Tuesday with Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. John Neumann Parish at Nativity Church, 633 Orchard St., Scranton. Interment, St. Catherine's Cemetery, Moscow.
