Gregory Miserak

Gregory Miserak died Monday. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Carmel Bifano Miserak of McKinney, Texas. The couple married in 1962 in Jessup.

Gregory was born Aug. 29, 1938, in Jessup, to the late George and Anna Miserak. Gregory was a top high school football and baseball star for Jessup High. Greg served his country in the Army as a part of the Corps of Engineers and was stationed in Fort Devins, Mass. Shortly after discharge from the Army, they moved to Fairport, N.Y., where Gregory began his 32 years of service at Xerox Corp. Through Xerox in 1973, Greg and Carmel moved to Plano, Texas, but also relocated in the late 1980's to Redondo Beach and San Jose, Calif. Gregory retired from Xerox in 1998 and moved to Lake Kiowa, Texas. He served as president of the Men's Golf Association. He was active in Habitat for Humanity

He stayed active with golf, fishing, reading, gardening and his growing number of grandchildren. He and Carmel traveled to almost every continent on earth over the years.

Gregory is also survived by his son, Mark Miserak of Prosper, Texas; and daughter Cheryl Farley of Allen, Texas; grandchildren, Jake Miserak, Jantzen Miserak and Jace Miserak of Prosper, Texas; Brendan Farley and Cameron Farley of Allen, Texas.

He was also preceded in death by sister, Ann Helene Cherochak.

Services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Prosper United Methodist Church, 205 S. Church St., Prosper, Texas.
