Harold J. Goodwin, 84, of Gouldsboro, died Tuesday at Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton. His wife is the former Mary L. Di Camillo.
Born in Scranton, son of the late William and Annette Jenkins Goodwin, he was a graduate of Rutgers University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in secondary education. Before retirement, he was a vocational technology teacher in the Raritan School District, Raritan, N.J. He was a veteran of the Navy, where he served as a seaman. He was also a member of American Legion Post 274, Gouldsboro.
Harold enjoyed playing billiards and was a member of Rocky's Pool League in Scranton.
Surviving are a daughter, Antoinette Goodwin, Lyndhurst, N.J.; a son, James Goodwin and wife, Sandra, Westwood, N.J.; three sisters, Eleanor Dieckmann, Boynton Beach, Fla.; Romaine Ferguson, Scranton; and Mary Lou Illsley and husband, James, Boynton Beach, Fla.; two brothers, Donald Ross and wife, Grace, Schenectady, N.Y.; and Barry Ross and wife, Jane, Surprise, Ariz.; several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by a sister, Joann Masol.
Funeral services will be Friday at noon in the Donahue Funeral Home, 303 S. Main Ave., Scranton. Viewing will be Friday from 10 a.m. until time of service. Interment will be in Cathedral Cemetery, Scranton.
