Helen (Tiny) Carpenetti, 81, of Nicholson, died Wednesday at Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton. Her husband of more than 50 years, Mariano Carpenetti, preceded her in death in May 2003.
Born in Nicholson, daughter of Susan Forkal Golomboski and the late Michael Golomboski, Tiny lived in the area her entire life. For many years, She worked at Lochen's Market as a grocery clerk.
Tiny loved being with people, and had a warm, loving smile. She enjoyed music, dancing and her flower garden.
Tiny was a devoted daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Surviving are three sons, Leo and wife, Debra, Scott Twp.; Robert and wife, Penny, Milton; and David and wife, Mary Kay, Nicholson; two daughters, Monica Turner, Nicholson; and Pat Carpenter and husband, Carl, Factoryville; a sister, Sally Arnold and husband, Herbie, Union Dale; her 99-year-old mother, Susan Golomboski, Tunkhannock; nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be Sunday at 8 p.m. at the Charles H. Litwin Funeral Home, 91 State St., Nicholson. Friends may pay their respects from 5 until service time.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Nicholson Fire Company, 44 Main St., Nicholson, 18446; or the United Methodist Church of Hop Bottom, Center Street, 18824.
