Helen D. Miller, 96, of Scranton, died Wednesday morning at Allied Skilled Nursing in Scranton following an illness. She was the widow of William Miller, who died Feb. 5, 1970.
Born July 28, 1917, in Olyphant, daughter of the late George and Anna Klocek, she was educated in the Olyphant schools and in the Roman Catholic faith.
Surviving are her son, William H. Miller, Scranton; two grandchildren, Lori Ancherani, Scranton; and William Zupon and wife, Penny, Houston, Texas; her son-in-law, Joseph Zupon and wife, Karen, Scranton; a sister, Elizabeth Cavanaugh, Bridgeport, Conn.; a great-grandson, Michael Ancherani Jr.; nieces and nephews.
Helen was also preceded in death by her daughter, Joan Zupon, in 2000; her sister, Mary Owens; and three brothers, Casey, Stephen and John Klocek.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 9:30 a.m. at the Howard J. Snowdon Funeral Home, 1810 Sanderson Ave., Scranton, with the Rev. Arthur W. Davis as officiating clergy. Interment, Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst Twp.
Friends may call Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
