Helen M. Romanski

Helen M. Romanski, 90, of South Scranton, died Saturday at Geisinger Community Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward J. Romanski, in 2004.

Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Bromislaus and Anna Lezak Stryjek. She attended Scranton Schools and was employed as a seamstress before her retirement. She was a member of St. Paul of the Cross Parish, South Scranton.

Helen was a loving mother and grandmother who will be deeply missed.

Surviving are a son, Edward F. Romanski, at home; daughter, Sharon Miller, Scranton; five grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Elaine Marie Allen, in 1981; two sisters and two brothers.

The funeral will be Wednesday at 9:15 a.m. from the Nicholas Chomko Funeral Home, 1132 Prospect Ave., South Scranton, with Mass of Christian Burial at 10 in Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Church. Interment: Scared Hearts Cemetery, Davis Street, Scranton.

Friends may call Tuesday 5 to 7 p.m.
