Hilda I. "Mums" Williams, North Scranton, died Thursday evening at the home of her daughter after an illness. Her husband, Morgan, preceded her in death in January 2010.
Born in Scranton, daughter of the late John and Ida Gruzewski Dussa, she was a lifelong resident of the city. She graduated form Scranton Central High School in 1951 and before retirement, worked at Eureka and Specialty Printers and Penn Shade Crafters. She was also a "lunch mom" at Neil Armstrong School for many years. She was a member of Providence United Presbyterian Church, the Club and the Class of '51 Girls Nite Out.
Surviving are two daughters, Linda and husband, Martin Nonnenberg; and Carol and husband, Gerald Zaltauskas, both of Scranton; four grandchildren, Matthew and Mia Nonnenberg; Gerald and Thomas Zaltauskas; a number of nieces and nephews.
Hilda was also preceded in death by a grandson, Martin Nonnenberg; and a brother, Alfred Dussa.
The funeral will be Monday at 6 p.m. in the Bomberger-Lesko Funeral Home Inc., 1660 N. Main Ave., Scranton.
The family will receive friends from 4 until service time.
