Jack Erwin Davis Sr.

Jack Erwin Davis Sr., Scranton, died Monday at Geisinger Community Medical Center.

A beloved husband and father, Jack recently retired from B&I Auto Parts. A 25-year veteran of the Scranton Fire Department, he also worked for the Eureka Printing Co., Robinson Electric and McDonnell Jewelry. Jack enjoyed traveling, fishing and spending time with his family. Most of all, he enjoyed life.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Barbara; children, Jack Jr. and wife, Lynne of Scranton; Lois and husband, William Sherman of Scranton; Mark and wife, Christy of Lake Ariel; and Jill and husband, Derek Raines of Scranton; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held March 23 at 10 a.m. at the Court Street United Methodist Church, 816 Court St., Scranton, with Pastor Fred Snyder presiding. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shriners Childrens Burn Hospital.
