James H. Rosencrance

James H. Rosencrance of Scranton, formerly of Clarks Summit, died Tuesday at the VNA Hospice Inpatient Unit at Geisinger Community Medical Center, following a brief illness.

Born in Scranton, son of the late James E. and Marjorie Johns Rosencrance, he was a graduate of Abington Heights High School. He proudly served in the Marine Corps. Before retirement, he served as Chief of Police for the borough of Clarks Summit.

James was a loving son, father and brother and a good caregiver to his mother until her death. All who knew him will miss him dearly.

Surviving are a daughter, Debra Rosencrance, Florida; sons, James H. Rosencrance Jr., Florida; and Justin Rosencrance, Scranton; granddaughter, Gia Rosencrance; sister, Katherine T. Jandres, Catasauqua; brother, Thomas Rosencrance, Clarks Summit; and several nieces and nephews.

Private funeral services will be held from the Solfanelli-Fiorillo Funeral Home Inc., 1030 N. Main Ave., at the convenience of the family. Interment with military honors will be at Milwaukee Cemetery at a later date.
