Janet M. Secoolish Conlon, 61, of Scranton, died Wednesday morning at Commonwealth Hospice of NEPA at Regional Hospital of Scranton after a lengthy illness.
Born in Scranton on Sept. 27, 1952, daughter of the late Martin J. and Louise Lynch Secoolish, Janet was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School. She was a former member of the Green Ridge Assembly of God and the Peckville Assembly of God.
Janet was a beautiful person inside and out. She was the most loving, sweet mother. She was a kind Christian woman with a very compassionate heart. The family would like to thank the staff at Regional Hospital and Commonwealth Hospice for their loving care.
Surviving are a daughter, Laura Anne Marx and husband, Matthew, Scranton; a son, Christopher Walton and wife, Georganna, Scranton; a sister, Judy Arthur and husband, Chester, Jacksonville, Fla.; three grandchildren, Madalyn Louise Marx, Dylan Walton and Emily Walton; two nephews, Jeff Arthur and wife, Jayne Ann, Charleston, W.Va.; and Scott Arthur and fiancée, Tabitha, Jacksonville; and great-niece, Hailie.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 11:30 a.m. in the Howard J. Snowdon Funeral Home, 1810 Sanderson Ave., Scranton. Interment and committal prayers will be conducted at Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst Twp.
