Janice M. Coleman, 80, of Carbondale, died Sunday at home. She was the widow of John Coleman, who died in 2005.
Born in Carbondale, daughter of the late Harold and Romayne Schermerhorn Connor, she was a member of St. Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale, and a graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School, Carbondale, class of 1951. Before retirement, she was employed as a seamstress in the local garment industry.
Surviving are two sons, John Coleman, Carbondale; and James Coleman and wife, Jill, Jessup; four grandchildren, Sara, Krysten, Scott and Ryan; a sister, Rita Williams, Archbald; several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Paul, Harold and James Connor; and two sisters, Vivian McHale and Romayne Lynn.
The funeral will be Thursday from the Brennan & Brennan Funeral Home Inc., 55 Lincoln Ave., Carbondale, with Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Church. Entombment, Our Mother of Sorrows Mausoleum, Finch Hill.
