Janie Marie Tarullo Johnston of West Scranton died Friday in Geisinger Community Medical Center.
Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Eleanor Loughney Tarullo. She was educated in Scranton schools and was a graduate of West Scranton High School.
Janie was a fun-loving, generous mother, sister and friend who always brought joy to others. She loved music, dancing and playing her tambourine. She will always be remembered for her kindness, grace and her love of the beautiful things in life. She has instilled those same qualities in her loved ones and they will be forever grateful.
Surviving are children, LizaJane Johnston, Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; Chadden Lee Johnston and wife, Angie, Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; Lacey Johnston and companion, Stephen Seliga, Scranton; and Crystal Johnston and companion, Marc DeAntona, Scranton; one grandson, Angelo Danger Johnston, Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; one sister, Cathy Tarullo Wehner and husband, Ernie, Ventnor City, N.J.; one brother, Michael Tarullo, Orlando, Fla.; nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Carl J. Savino Funeral Home, 157 S. Main Ave., Scranton. A blessing service will be offered at 8 in the funeral home by the Rev. Sam Ferretti, pastor of St. Lucy's Church, West Scranton. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lighthouse in Scranton Inc., P.O. Box 199, Scranton, PA 18504.
