Jean A. Kloptoski

Jean A. Kloptoski, 82, of Simpson, died Tuesday at home. Her husband, Raymond Kloptoski, died in 2006.

Born in Simpson, daughter of the late Theodore and Veronica Kutch Barna, she was a graduate of Fell High School, Simpson. Jean was an instructional assistant with NEIU. Jean was a member of St. Basil's Russian Orthodox Church, Simpson.

The family would like to thank Caroline, Kathy, Kelly and Barbara of Traditional Home Health Care for their care of Jean.

Jean treasured spending time with her grandson. She will be truly missed by her family and friends.

Surviving are a son, John, Simpson; a daughter and son-in-law, Jill and Anthony Carmadella, Archbald; a grandson, Anthony; a brother, Peter Barna, Lookout, N.Y.; a sister, Elizabeth Pickell, Carlsbad, Calif.; nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Basil, Stephen, Michael and John Barna; and six sisters, June Barna, Ann and Catherine Zielinski, Mary Stang, Helen Bernich and Justine Sabina.

The funeral will be Friday at 10 a.m. in St. Basil's Russian Orthodox Church, 33 Midland St., Simpson, with a Requiem Service by the Very Rev. Archpriest David J. Hritcko. Entombment in Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Finch Hill.
