Jean M. Lynady

Jean M. Lynady, 81, of Carbondale, died Friday at Regional Hospital of Scranton after an illness.

Born in Carbondale, daughter of the late Paul and Marion Briggs Lynady, she was a member of St. Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale, and a graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School, Carbondale. Before retirement, she was employed as a secretary at Gentex Corp., Simpson. She also worked at C.B. Tomaine Insurance Co. and Tri-County Human Services, both of Carbondale. She was a member of the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians.

Surviving are a brother, William Lynady, Clarks Summit; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be Tuesday from the Brennan & Brennan Funeral Home Inc., 55 Lincoln Ave., Carbondale, with Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Church. Interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Finch Hill.
