Jill Marie Luciani Mooty

Jill Mooty, 55, of Odenton, Md., peacefully passed into eternal life Friday February 8, 2013, at the home of her sister after a long, courageous battle with carcinoid cancer.

Born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, Jill was the eldest living daughter of the late John J. and Nancy Griffiths Luciani. She grew up in Scranton and Moosic Lakes, was a graduate of Bishop Klonowski High School and earned a B.S. in accounting from the University of Scranton. After becoming a CPA, Jill moved to Maryland, where she lovingly raised her family and established her career as an admired and respected accountant as well as a community leader. She was owner of Jill Mooty and Associates, PA. She served as former president of the board of the Baltimore Washington Corridor Chamber of Commerce, board member of Revere Bank and member of the Laurel Business and Professional Women's Club. Her greatest joy was her family and being a dedicated Baltimore Ravens season ticket- holder. Her positive attitude, infectious smile and unconditional love will be greatly missed.

She is survived by daughters, Jennifer Mooty and Rebecca Cline; grandchildren; a sister, Nancy Nealon; brothers, JJ and Chris; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Ann.
