Joanne Siarkiewicz Jones, 62, of Jessup, died Friday at Commonwealth Hospice of NEPA after an extended illness.
Born in Peckville, daughter of the late John and Mary Mancinelli Siarkiewicz, she was a graduate of Jessup High School and attended Marywood College. She was employed for 22 years as a bookkeeper at American Janitor, Scranton. She resided in Jessup most of her life and was a member of St. Mary's Assumption Church, Queen of Angels Parish, Jessup .
She was a kind and caring daughter, sister, cousin and friend who enjoyed family time and traveling. She will be dearly missed by everyone who had the pleasure of her acquaintance.
She is survived by a sister, Ann Marie Trogner and husband, Steve, Key West, Fla.; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and companion, Tony Gillette.
The funeral will be Tuesday from the Louis M. Margotta Funeral Home, 511 Church St., Jessup, with Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Michael's Church, Jessup. Interment, St. John's Cemetery, Jessup.
