Joseph Patrick Russell, 48, of Endwell, N.Y., died Wednesday.
Son of John and Dixie Russell, Joe served with the Navy as a Seabee steel worker during Operation Desert Storm. He was a state licensed paramedic, running with Medic 301, Susquehanna. He was a fish and waterways conservation officer in Pennsylvania. Joe was a member of Calvary's Love Assembly of God. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Joe loved his family and his family loved him dearly. He will be deeply missed and went home to be with his Lord on June 19.
Also surviving are a son and daughter, Tom and Sarah Russell, both of Maine, N.Y.; two sisters, Coleen and husband, Paul Colton, King George, Va.; and Shawn and husband, James Simmons, King George, Va.; aunts and uncles, Carolyn and Larry Ross, Kathy and William Howell, Richard and Agnes Russell, Dorothy and Richard Terboss, James Howland, Joyce Andrews and Jean Harris; nephews, John Paul Colton, and Bryan and Joseph McDermott; the mother of his children, Sherry Russell; and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, John and Catherine Russell; maternal grandparents, Richard and Anna Howland; and his uncle, Joseph Russell.
A funeral service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the Tuttle-Yeisley Funeral Home Inc., Hallstead. Friends may call Sunday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pennsylvania Wounded Warriors Inc., 2665 Lake Meade Road, East Berlin, PA 17316.
