June M. Cashuric, 83, of Archbald, formerly of Eynon, died Sunday at Lackawanna Health and Rehabilitation Center, Blakely, after a brief illness. She was the widow of Alfred Cashuric, who died Jan. 27, 1985.
Born in Eynon, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Matilda Kupst Gambo. She attended Archbald schools and was a member of St. Mary of Czestochowa Church, Eynon. She resided most of her life in Eynon, but the last 10 years in Archbald. She was a member of the Confraternity of Christian Mothers and the Ladies Auxiliary of Eynon VFW
and Hose Company.
She was a kind and loving wife, aunt and great-aunt who enjoyed bingo, playing cards and watching the New York Yankees.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staffs of Lackawanna Health and Rehab, especially C-1, and AseraCare Hospice for their kindness and compassion.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews, including, Charles Zelno and Charlene Cottell.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Alfie Jr.; and two sisters, Romayne Zelno and Geraldine Gambo.
The funeral will be Thursday from the James M. Margotta Funeral Home, 1019 Main St., Peckville, with Mass at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary of Czestochowa Church. Interment, Our Lady of Vilna Cemetery, Eynon.
