Lawrence A. Specht Jr.

It is with great sadness that the family of Larry Specht announces his passing. Larry passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 1, surrounded by family. Larry was 60 and struggled from Crohn's disease most of his life. In recent years, he suffered from cancer.

Born Feb. 19, 1953, Larry was the son of the late Lawrence A. Specht Sr. and Marilyn Stives.

Larry will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 27 years, Cynthia Specht; daughter, Kristie Calomino and her husband, Chris Calomino, Palmyra, N.J.; brother, Gary Specht, Royal Palm Beach, Fla.; sisters, Debbie Bambaci, Phillipsburg, N.J.; and Judy Keller, Waymart; stepbrother, Donald Stives Jr., Hudson, Fla.; stepfather, Donald Stives Sr., Forked River, N.J.; six nephews and three nieces.

Larry retired from General Motors. Larry was a simple guy who led a simple life. He enjoyed spending most of his days with his wife and pets. Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing Larry would tell you how kind-hearted he was. Larry's love for building models showed how handy and creative he was. Larry will be forever missed and never forgotten.

A memorial service in memory of Larry will be held Monday at 5:30 p.m. from the Jenkins Funeral Home, 269 Belmont St., Waymart. Friends may call from 4 until time of the service.
