Lois J. Salwin, 86, a resident of Allied Skilled Nursing, Scranton, died Tuesday afternoon after an illness. She was the widow of Alfred Salwin.
Born Sept. 3, 1927, in Scranton, daughter of the late Thomas and Louise Whittaker Phillips, she was educated in Scranton schools and was of the Methodist faith.
Surviving are her daughter, Diane L. O'Brien and husband, William, Jefferson Twp.; three sons, James Sheridan, Arizona; Alan Sheridan, Scranton; and Rod Salwin, Taylor; a brother, Thomas Phillips Jr., Scranton; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her brother, Alfred Phillips.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in the Howard J. Snowdon Funeral Home, 1810 Sanderson Ave., Scranton, with the Rev. Arthur W. Davis as officiating clergy. Interment, Forest Hills Cemetery, Dunmore.
