Louise Castellano

Louise Castellano, 86, of Scranton, died Monday in Scranton Health Care Center, where she recently resided with her husband, Anthony Castellano. They would have celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary on Friday.

Born in Jessup, she was the daughter of the late John and Felica Paolucci Fiorelli. She was a graduate of Jessup High School, class of 1944, and was a member of SS. Anthony and Rocco Parish in Dunmore. Before retirement, she was employed by Barbizon Garment in Jessup, and Luger Wire, the Grove Silk Mill and Sarno and Sons, all in Dunmore.

Louise was loving and caring, wife, mother, grandmother and sister who spent most of her life taking care of her family and her home. Her family will proudly carry on the tradition of making homemade ravioli and cappelletti that she passed down to them. Her husband, Anthony, was truly the love of her life. The two were inseparable, constant companions throughout life.

To say she will be missed is an understatement.

Her family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Scranton Health Care Center and Southern Care Hospice for the love and compassionate care shown to Louise during her stay with them.

Also surviving are two sons, Michael A. Castellano and wife, Marsilia, Factoryville; and Rocco Castellano and wife, Lugene, Clarks Summit; three grandchildren, Margaret Castellano, Phoenixville; Louise Castellano, Astoria, N.Y.; and Anthony Castellano, Clarks Summit; a sister, Johanna Molinaro, Dunmore; several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Rose Ceccarelli and Madeline Setta; and a brother, Anthony Fiorelli.

The funeral will be Thursday from the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home Inc., 318 E. Drinker St., Dunmore, with Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Rocco's Church, Kurtz Street, Dunmore. Interment will follow in Cathedral Cemetery, Oram Street, Scranton.

Friends may call Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Scranton Health Care Center Activity Fund, 2933 McCarthy St., Scranton, PA 18505.
