Lovie Peregrim, 97, of Old Forge, died Saturday evening at the Jewish Home of Eastern Pa.
Born in Old Forge on Sept. 25, 1916, she was the last child of the late Andrew and Helen Pregmon Peregrim. Before retirement, Lovie worked for Rohr Lingerie. She was a lifelong parishioner of St. Michael's Orthodox Church, Old Forge, and sang in the church choir. She was a lady of great faith who loved her church, was a wonderful cook and enjoyed baking.
Surviving are her caregivers, Daniel Jones, Scranton; and Ann Tyrpak, Old Forge, with whom she resided the past two years; nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, a great-great-niece and a great-great-nephew.
She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Ann Peregrim, Mary Jones and Sonia Tyrpak; and brothers, Walter, Ignatius, Metro, Nicholas, William and infant John.
The funeral will be Wednesday at 8:45 a.m. from the Semian Funeral Home, 704 Union St., Taylor, with funeral services at 9:30 in St. Michael's Orthodox Church, by the Very Rev. Michael Lepa. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
