Lucy Delonti

Lucy Delonti, 88, of Eynon, died Tuesday morning at the Mid-Valley Hospital Emergency Room. She was married to Fred Delonti for 63 years.

Born in Archbald, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Elizabeth Titti Temperini. She graduated from Archbald High School, class of 1943, and was employed in the garment industry at Barbizon Inc. for many years. A member of Christ the King Parish, St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Archbald, she was a member of its Altar and Rosary Society. She resided the majority of her life in Eynon, having moved from Archbald.

She was a kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who was always concerned with family right up until the end.

Also surviving are two sons, Fred Jr. and wife, Joyce, Clarks Summit; and Anthony, Eynon, with whom she resided, and fiancée, Maryrita Stuckart, Scranton; one granddaughter, Amanda Delonti; step-granddaughter, Renee Kutchmanich; and stepgreat-granddaughter, Alexis.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Albert Temperini; and two sisters, Violet and Nora Temperini.

The funeral will be Saturday from the James M. Margotta Funeral Home, 1019 Main St., Peckville, with Mass at 10 a.m. at Christ the King Parish, St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Interment will take place at St. Thomas Cemetery, Archbald.

Friends may call on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m.
