Mae Tolerico

Mae Tolerico, 85, of Mayfield, died Sunday at Forest City Nursing Home. She was the widow of Angelo W. Tolerico, who died in 2002.

Born in Olyphant on May 14, 1928, daughter of the late Andrew and Anastasia Waclowski Tutsky, she was a member of Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Parish, Jermyn, and was formerly employed as a seamstress at several local dress factories. Mae enjoyed cooking and baking, shopping on QVC and the joy of her life was spending time with her grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Hospice of the Sacred Heart and the Forest City Nursing Home for the loving care and compassion they gave Mae.

Surviving are a stepdaughter, Virginia Connor and husband, James, Forest City; two grandchildren, Courtney and Christopher; several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Sophie and Ann; and two brothers, Joseph and Peter.

The funeral will be Wednesday, 9:30 a.m., from the Ryczak-Harrison Funeral Home Inc., 901 Lackawanna Ave., Mayfield, with Mass of Christian Burial at 10 in Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Parish, with Monsignor Dale Rupert officiating. Interment, Calvary Cemetery, Mayfield.

Friends may call today, 4 to 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Wilkes-Barre, PA.
