Margaret M. Garrity

Margaret M. "Peg" Garrity of Doylestown, Pa., passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012. She was 95 years old.

Born in Scranton, Pa., to the late Michael and Bea (Fleming) Rainey, Peg was a former resident of Scranton, Pa., Wildwood and Vincentown, N.J., before moving to Doylestown, Pa., in 1999. She was formerly employed with the Department of Treasury, IRS Division in Philadelphia, for 35 years, before retirement. Peg was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church of Doylestown and a current resident of Wesley Enhanced Living, where she enjoyed many activities with many good friends. She was the beloved aunt to many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and nephews and great-grand-nieces and nephews.

Peg was the beloved wife of the late Thomas "Bud" Garrity; dear sister of the late Catherine Gates, Thomas Rainey and Mary Munley; loving aunt of John Munley and wife, Sharon; Dorothy Preitz, and the late Mary Judith Clum and Eileen Kathryn Munley; cherished grand-aunt of Jennifer Martin (Dan); Elizabeth Danley (Steve); John Munley III (Danja); Bridget Lussier (Justin); Gretchen Clum (Trent); and Christina Clum (Christopher); also survived by great-grand-nieces and nephews.

A funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 235 E. State St., Doylestown, Pa., on Saturday, Dec. 15 at 10 a.m. Interment will be private.

The family will receive friends from 9:15 to 10 a.m. at the church before the Mass.
