Marie A. Capoccia

Marie A. Capoccia, 84, of Dunmore, died Monday evening at Regional Hospital of Scranton after a lengthy illness. She is survived by her husband, Anthony Capoccia. The couple celebrated 63 years of marriage on Nov. 12.

Born in Dunmore, daughter of the late Carmine and Rose Talarico Lettieri, she was a 1946 graduate of Dunmore High School. She was employed for many years by WW Norton, Dunmore.

She was a member of SS. Anthony and Rocco Parish and its Altar and Rosary Society, and was a devout Catholic. She was a very generous woman and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Also surviving are a daughter, Ann Zieno and husband, Anthony, Sidney, N.Y.; a son, Vincent and wife, Donna, Dunmore; grandchildren, Alycia Zieno, and Ross and Paul Capoccia; nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Nicholas Lettieri.

The funeral was held Wednesday in St. Anthony of Padua Church, Dunmore. Interment, Dunmore Cemetery.
