Marie Angeli

Marie Angeli, of Deptford, N.J., formerly of Peckville, died Monday evening at home. She was 84 years old. She was the wife of Nicholas Angeli Sr., who died in August of 1997.

She was born on April 9, 1928, in Olyphant, Pa., and was the daughter of Augusto and Anna Fofi (nee Ligi). Her oldest brother, Anthony (Tony) and younger August (Lelo) both predeceased her. She is survived by sisters-in-law, Elsie Fofi and Carolyn Fofi respectively. Her niece, Lisa Morelli (nee Fofi) was the daughter she never had and adored, and with her husband, Joe always made time for visits to her home in Deptford.

She had three sons. She was predeceased by her oldest son, Nicholas Jr.; and survived by Robert and son, Ronald, who with his wife, Christina, and mother-in-law, Dorothy Varano, have been her sole caretakers for the last twelve years. We would also like to thank our family physician Dr. Lisa Dimedio, whose care, loving nature and personal relationship are truly cherished.

We would love to thank our very dear friends and frequent dining companions, who guided her spiritually and proved to be a great source of comfort throughout her journey, Father Timothy Byerley, Father Fredrick Link and Father James King.

She will be dearly missed by those who loved her. A woman whose love and sacrifice knew know bounds.
