Marilyn A. Gellock

Marilyn A. Gellock, 71, of Palmer Twp., died Monday at St. Luke's, Warren Campus, Phillipsburg, N.J.

Born July 14, 1941, in Medford, Mass., daughter of the late Frank Wilbur and Gertrude Zulauf Wilbur, her husband, Jack Gellock, died in 2008. She worked at Triton, formerly ITT, for many years until she retired to care for husband Jack until his death in 2008. She was a devoted wife and mother. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family, cracking jokes with her dry humor and laughter most of all. Her nieces and closest friend, Debbie, were very supportive and time spent with them was always a treasure to her. They have become a treasure to us as well. Her cat, Pudder, was the world to her and can't forget "grandson" Raider.

Special thanks to doctors Aversa and Nekoranik for their patience and compassion in her final days. Most importantly, the staff at St. Luke's Warren Hospital on 3 North, who not only cared for her with strength and professionalism, but also cared for the family, especially Marianne, Ashley, Blanca, Janelle, Mary, Jenn and Carol, too. Their warmth and caring were above and beyond, and that will never be forgotten.

Survivors are her children, Edward VanNess, North Dakota; Ray Gellock and wife, Nancy, Lower Nazareth Twp.; and Mellisa Lestansky and husband, John, Archbald; sisters, Joan Gardner, Port Murray, N.J.; and Barbara Rochville, Medford, Mass.; grandchildren, Mary Jo, Elisha, R.J., Dana, Gail and Rich; several great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Patricia Vicknair, Shirlee Amerna and Jean Albertson.

Funeral services and interment will be private. No calling hours. Donations may be made to the . Expressions of sympathy may be left via email on the funeral home website at Fineganfh.com.
