Mary H. Fesolovich

Mary Hartridge Fesolovich, 90, of South Scranton, died Tuesday in St. Mary's Villa, Elmhurst. Her husband, Joseph Fesolovich, died in 1992.

Born in the Bellevue section of Scranton, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Potoma Hartridge. A 1940 graduate of Scranton Technical High School, Mary had lived in Washington, D.C., during World War II and worked as a secretary in the auditor general's office at the Pentagon. After returning to Scranton, she worked in accounts receivable and payroll and retired as head cashier for the former Dairylea Dairy Products, West Scranton. She was a member of St. Vladimir Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church and St. Vladimir Blessed Virgin Mary Guild and had been a volunteer and worker with the church fundraising events.

Mary was a loving and caring wife, mom, grandma, sister, aunt and a friend to many and will be fondly remembered.

She is survived by a daughter, Mary Czapla and husband, John, Collegeville; a son, Joseph and wife, Deborah, Moscow; three grandchildren, Brad Fesolovich and wife, Jillian; Megan Fesolovich Gibbons and husband, Ryan Gibbons; and Kara Fesolovich; a brother, Joseph Hartridge, Scranton; nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, John Hartridge; and two sisters, Elizabeth Fedysky and Margaret Mulka.

The funeral will be Saturday at 8:45 a.m. from the Edward J. Chomko Funeral Home, 254-268 Railroad Ave., West Scranton, with a Funeral Divine Liturgy at 9:30 in St. Vladimir Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, to be celebrated by the Rev. Myron Myronyuk, pastor. Interment will follow in St. Catherine's Cemetery, Moscow.

Viewing for family and friends will be on Friday, 4 to 7 p.m. Rosary recital by the St. Vladimir BVM Guild will be at 6:30, followed by panachida services.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Vladimir Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, 430 N. Seventh Ave., Scranton, PA 18503.
