Michael A. Evans, 33, of Moscow, formerly of Erie, Smethport and Archbald, died Saturday as a result of a motor vehicle accident.
Born in Erie, son of James and Kimberly Montgomery Evans of Charles Town, W.Va., he graduated from Smethport High School and was employed locally in construction. He was of the Christian faith and was an avid hunter and lifelong Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He was a devoted son and father, brother and true friend.
Also surviving are a son, Michael Anthony Evans-Parlanti and his mother, Angela Parlanti, Throop; two brothers, James Evans and wife, Shelly, Jessup; and Marcel Evans, Charles Town; two sisters, Mary Considine and husband, Greg, Archbald; and Allyxia Evans, Charles Town; a maternal grandmother, Marie Byers, Erie; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by a maternal grandfather, Charles Byers; paternal grandparents, Sam and Mary Evans; and a cousin, Justin Janicki.
The funeral will be Saturday with services at 11 a.m. in the Louis M. Margotta Funeral Home, 511 Church St., Jessup, celebrated by his mother, Pastor Kimberly Evans. Interment, Union Cemetery.
