Nanci Flynn, 59, of Dunmore, died Friday in Regional Hospital of Scranton. She and her husband, Donald Flynn, would have celebrated their 36th wedding anniversary on Feb. 5.
Born in St. Louis, Mo., she was the daughter of the late Clay and Janet Moore Smith. She was a graduate of Bloomsburg High School and Bloomsburg University. Before her illness, she was employed as the office manager at Riccardo's Market, Dunmore.
She was a very loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister who always put others before herself and was generous to numerous charities.
Also surviving are three sons, Jason and wife, Elena, Dickson City; Joel, Dunmore; and Jarrett and wife, Denise, Elmhurst; five grandchildren, Michelle Quinones, Shannon, Patrick, Paige and Abigail Flynn; three sisters, Nina Keefer and husband, Fred, Forty Fort; Jennifer Smith, Dunmore; and Stephanie Singley and husband, Tim, Dallas, Texas; nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Clay Smith.
Private services will be held at the convenience of her family.
