Nancy L. Gedrimas

Nancy L. Gedrimas, 73, of Greentown, died Nov. 17 at the emergency room of Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton. She was the wife of George E. Gedrimas, at home.

Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Oliver and Anna Evans Davis, she had resided in Greentown since 1999, and before that, in Lansdale. She was a graduate of Scranton Central High School, class of 1958. Nancy worked for Bell of Pa., now Verizon, starting as an operator in Lansdale, Jenkintown and Philadelphia before retiring as a supervisor for Verizon in Allentown.

She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Lansdale, and loved to read. She especially enjoyed the classic movies of the '40s and '50s, her favorite being "How Green Was My Valley."

She is also survived by a daughter, Leslie Gedrimas, Greentown.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, John L. Davis.

Private funeral services were held.
